The Iron Man Movie Trailer Best Part of Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight
Iron Man Trailer vs. Dragonlance
How do writers and directors take interesting content and completely ruin a fan favorite like the Dragonlance series? Here was my logic: Yes, it’s animated but hey they must be serious about making it half-way decent because they got one of my favorites, Kiefer Sutherland, to join the adventure. Well, let’s just say Spock would be seriously disappointed in me. Perhaps in the next “24″ episode Kiefer can arrest these guys under suspicion of trying to sabotage his career. Unfortunately, for D&D fans the best part of the entire DVD is frankly the Iron Man trailer. That’s pretty sad considering I’ve probably seen the Iron Man movie trailer 50 times so it’s not like it debuted with some fresh scenes. Yes, it was fun to see the Iron Man movie trailer on my TV instead of on a monitor, but the rest of my experience was like looking a Beholder straight in the eye. Let me save you some money (consider I’ve always been a big D&D fan) try to get your friend to rent it and ride his wallet instead because I know if you’re like me you’re going to see it anyway regardless of how bad people say it is.
About Dragonlance
Released on 15 January 2008 on DVD, this is the animated featured film version of the first book in the Dragonlance Chronicles series. The movie features the voices of Kiefer Sutherland (Raistlin), Lucy Lawless (Goldmoon), and Michael Rosenbaum (Tanis).
Life-long friends, (Tanis Half-Elven, Sturm Brightblade, Raistlin, Caramon, Flint Fireforge (a dwarf) and Tasslehoff Burrfoot (a kender), had gone their separate ways only to meet again five years later in a bar (that’s it…I should have been drunk while watching this) in their hometown. While waiting for the last member of their party to arrive they meet a beautiful and mysterious barbarian woman (Goldmoon) with a warrior companion (Riverwind). All of evildom is after the staff that is said to reawaken the Gods of Light that had abandoned mankind long ago. These adventurers are pursued by goblins and all sorts of D&D favorites whom are working with the dark forces of Krynn to obtain the staff before the true power of the staff can be used and yet again defeat the evil queen.
