Ironman 2 Movie Voter Results Are In
Right after I watched the Ironman 2 movie I put a poll up on Ironmantonystark.com asking the following:
Regarding Iron Man 2, What Should the Director Focus On Improving Compared to the First Iron Man Movie?
a. More cool armor gadgets tied in with more action
b. Better Villain(s)
c. Relationship between Tony Stark and Pepper Potts
d. More surprises like the Colonel Fury debut at the end of the movie
e. All of the Above
Over 650 votes later over half of those was of the opinion that Jon Favreau should go for ALL OF THE ABOVE. Surprised? I’m not. It’s natural to want more of a good thing.Jon Favreau has his work cut out for him because our expectations are going to be higher than it takes to freeze an Ironmonger in space. No worries though, my fellow Starkies (Hey did I just make a lame attempt to coin a word there?). With the stellar Iron Man 2 movie cast he has it shouldn’t be a problem. Ya hear that Jon? (it better not be a problem). Jon’s already proved he’s a good story teller and has a talent for choosing a great special effects team. It’s a simple no-lose with a great cast leading with Robert Downey Jr. I mean we all know that Robert Downey Jr.’s shot at the Oscar fell short only because of bad luck…running against a class act star whose demise was no joke to millions of Heath Ledger fans everywhere.

The one thing they need to avoid with Iron Man 2 is overcrowding it with two many villains. Justin Hammer is a good compliment to Whiplash so hopefully it won’t be too much.
The first Ironman movie was great. The special effects were good and not overdone as in many movies. If Ironman 2 is as good as the first, I will be thrilled.
I am really surprized that, after all of the hype about comic book movies, Ironman 2 is the only one slated for 2010. No more from Marvel, nothing from DC comics, and no Hell Boy. ~Toby Ross.
